The Holy Spirit Speaks

John 14:26 “The Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you.”

1. The Holy Spirit Speaks through the Bible

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching the right way to live.”

Paul: “Pray for us that God will open to us a door for the word, that we may declare the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison, so that I may reveal it clearly, as I should.” Colossians 4:3    

2. The Holy Spirit Speaks through Prayer

Romans 8:26, “In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. For example, when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that can’t be put into words."

Paul: “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2

“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you. He is always wrestling in his prayers on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in everything that God wills.” Colossians 4:12

3. The Holy Spirit Speaks through Circumstances

Paul: “...God will open to us a door for the word, that we may declare the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison.” Colossians 4:3

4. The Holy Spirit Speaks through the Church   

Matthew 16:17-18 "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my Church."

"The Church is the Congregation, or Assembly, of all the people who have been called out of the world by God."
