God's Timing

God's Timing

"No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden

and that God destined for our glory before time began.

None of the rulers of this age understood it,for if they had,

they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

However, as it is written:“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,

and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those

who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them?

In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is

from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom

but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities

with Spirit-taught words.

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the

Spirit of God but considers them foolishness,and cannot understand them

because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things,

but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,

“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”

But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:7-16

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends:

With the Lord a day is like a thousand years,

and a thousand years are like a day.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.

Instead he is patient with you,not wanting anyone to perish,

but everyone to come to repentance."

2 Peter 3:8-9

Galatians 5:22-26

"But the fruit of the Spirit

is love, joy, peace, forbearance,kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness and self-control.

Against such things there is no law.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh

with its passions and desires.

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited,provoking and envying each other."

2 Corinthians 6:3-10

"We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path,

so that our ministry will not be discredited.

Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way:

in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses;

in beatings, imprisonments and riots;

in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger;

in purity, understanding, patience and kindness;

in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love;

in truthful speech and in the power of God;

with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;

through glory and dishonor,bad report and good report;

genuine, yet regarded as impostors;

known, yet regarded as unknown;

dying, and yet we live on;

beaten, and yet not killed;

sorrowful, yet always rejoicing;

poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything."

"So the LORD God said to the serpent,

“Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals!

You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman,

and between your offspring and hers;

he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Genisis 3:13-15
