"Hallowed Be Your Name"
  • “I will cry to God most high, Who fulfills His purpose for me.” 
  • Psalm 91:1, the Psalmist urges us to “rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

 

El Ro-i - the God who sees

 

  • Exodus 20:7, “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”

 

Why is God so sensitive about His Name?
Because His name Represents;
  • His Reputation
  • His Character
  • His Authority

 

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:7, “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”
  • 2 Timothy 1:9, “God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time - to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.”
  • Hebrews 12:14, “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone, and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”
  • Ephesians 1:4 “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”
  • “You must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, ‘You must be holy because I am holy.’”
  • Hebrews 10:14  “By one sacrifice, he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” 
  • Acts 2:38 “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
  • “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
  • “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
  • “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God…” Ephesians 2:8

 

God, I accept Your forgiveness of my sin.

I believe You raised Jesus from the dead

I confess Jesus as my Lord.

Thank You for this gift of eternal life.
