Judge Not...

Matthew 7:1-5

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

Facts about Judging:
* Not all Judging is Bad

“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:24 KJV

* People Judge all the time
* Judging does not need to be Harsh

“A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses, and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.  2 Timothy 2:24-26 NLT

“For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use,  it will be measured to you.”

“Don't let anyone fool you by using senseless arguments. These arguments may sound wise, but they are only human teachings. They come from the powers of this world,  and not from Christ.” Colossians 2:8 CEV

“In the beginning was the Word,  and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.” John 1:1,14 KJV

"I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me." John 14:6

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ  and you will be saved.”

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Jesus, I accept You as my Savior

I believe God raised You from the dead

I confess You as my Lord.

In the name of Jesus I pray.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust  in your brother’s eye  and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”

"...first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

How to Avoid Hypocrisy:
* Look in the Mirror
* Confirm your Concern is Biblical

“If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.”  Galatians 6:1-3 (The Message)

* Offer Help and Encouragement
