Resurrection Sunday

Resurrection Sunday

“By this time, it was noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle. Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.” Luke 23:44-46

“As evening approached, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea who had become a follower of Jesus, went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. And Pilate issued an order to release it to him.” Matthew 27:57-58

“Joseph took the body (of Jesus) and wrapped it in a long sheet of clean linen cloth. He placed it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance, and then he left.” Matthew 27:59-60

“I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3

Luke 24:1,  “But very early on Sunday morning, the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.”

John 1:5,  “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

“I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” John 12:46

 “Do not be afraid.”

Luke 24:5-6,  “Then the men asked, ‘Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?’ And before the women can even think up a reply, they continue and say, ‘He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!’”

John 8:12  “Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.’”

“I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!” Luke 2:30-32

“I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” John 12:46

“For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Ephesians 5:8-9

1 John 1:5, “This is the message we heard from Jesus, and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.”

1 John 1:7,  “But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.”
